Het menu is bekend! Daggasten wordt vriendelijk verzocht hun menukeuze voor 12 april door te geven. Ook ontvangen wij nog graag de bevestiging van de andere gasten voor 12 april voor zo ver zij dit nog niet gedaan hebben.

Huwelijkslijst/wedding list
De huwelijkslijst werkt toch niet zo handig als we gedacht hebben. Onze gasten weten de lijst blijkbaar wel te vinden, maar een veel gehoorde klacht is toch dat het erg jammer is dat niet duidelijk is wat je nu precies koopt. Zelf vinden wij dat ook wel jammer. Zo is er bijvoorbeeld niet uit halen dat er twee keer bekers opstaan omdat 1 set bekers groen is en 1`set zwart. Met dit topic hoop ik daar verandering in te brengen. Ik kan niet van alles een plaatje vinden, maar via een 'klik' op de onderstaande artikelen kunt u in ieder geval bij een paar cadeau's een beeld vormen. Overigens wil ik nog benadrukken dat gebruik van de huwelijkslijst niet verplicht is.

Our weddinglist isn't quite working as we had hoped. Our guests seem to be able to locate the list, but a common complaint is that is a shame that it isn't exactly clear what people are buying. It also disappointed us a bit. For instance you can't see that one set of cups (bekers) is green while the other ones are black. With this topic I hope to change that somewhat. It even might help our English speaking guests since it's all in Dutch. I haven't been able to find a picture of every single item but with a 'click' on the articles below I hope to shed a light on some of them.

Cufflinks
These cufflinks represent childhood nostalgia and have been given to me by Christine. They get attention on this blog because you might miss them on the actual weddingday.
Deze manchetknopen staat uiteraard voor jeugdig sentiment. Ze zijn door Christine aan mij gegeven. Ze krijgen hier aandacht omdat er op de trouwdag zelf misschien overheen gekeken wordt.

Update
Na het versturen van de uitnodigingen is het uiteraard tijd voor een update met meer informatie. De voorbereidingen lopen vooralsnog vrij soepel op een incidentje hier en daar na. De trouwringen zijn uitgekozen en onderweg, muziek is geregeld en ook de jurken voor de bruidsmeisjes, Zoë (mijn lieve zus) en Megan (christine’s oude buurmeisje uit Spanje) zijn binnen. Ook heb ik hele mooie manchetknopen van Christine gekregen, waar in het topic met die titel meer over te lezen is.
De bevestigingen druppelen ondertussen binnen. Het menu zal vanaf 30 maart bekend zijn, zodat de daggasten hun keuze kunnen maken. Uiteraard is elke combinatie van voor-, hoofd- en nagerecht mogelijk.

Now that the invitations have been sent an update is necessary with more information about the wedding. The preparations are progressing rather smoothly save a little crisis here and there. The wedding rings have been picked, music has been arranged and the dresses for the bridesmaids, Zoë (my dear sister) and Megan (Christine’s neighbour from Spain), have arrived. Also worth noting are the cufflinks Christine bought for me, to which another topic is dedicated.
More and more people are confirming that they are coming. The menu will be know around the 30th of march, so our guests for the day can make their choice. Of course every combination of entrée, main course and dessert is possible.
